Regrading and Slope Correction
Regrading and Slope Correction in Waco
When water pools against the slab or the lawn stays soft for days, the grade is almost always the culprit. Over the years the ground settles flat or tilts back toward the house, and the fall that used to carry rain away disappears. Raahi reshapes that grade so the property drains again, restoring the roughly six inches of drop over the first ten feet that building practice wants around a foundation.
Why Regrading Comes First
- It fixes the cause. A drain moves water that is already there. Regrading changes where the water goes in the first place, which is why it is the durable fix for pooling and soggy ground.
- It protects the structure. Water held against a slab foundation finds its way in. Positive slope carries it clear before it can sit.
- It sets up everything else. A swale, a gravel driveway, or a French drain only works if the surface grade behind it is right.
Our Process
We shoot elevations across the yard, confirm the true low point, and map how much cut and fill it takes to build continuous fall to a safe outfall. Then we move the dirt, compact structural fill in lifts near 95 percent Proctor density so it holds, and finish the surface smooth and ready for sod or gravel. A lot in Richland Hills or out toward Lorena gets the same careful read before the first cut.
